Chicken Pulao Recipe Easy

The chicken Pulao Recipe is one of my favorite recipes. It is very easy to make chicken pulao in a pressure cooker. Chicken Pulao is made for special occasions like eid, but you can make it any time of the year. Many like chicken biryani and I know chicken biryani is very famous. But if tried chicken pulao you will try it again and again.

Wonderful, simple, and satisfying, fowl pulao by no means fails to affect at a casual lunch with buddies or an own family dinner. Unlike a biryani in which the meat and rice are cooked separately, in a pulao dish, the rice and meat or veggies are cooked together in one pot.

How to make Chicken Pulao Recipe

  • Wash and clean the chicken pieces and add the items for marination. Mix well and set aside for 30 mins.
  • Wash & soak the basmati rice in a bowl for around 30 mins
  • Make a green paste of the Ginger, Garlic & Green chillies indicated above in a grinder.
  • Fry the sliced onions in 1 cup oil till golden brown in colour
  • Take out half of the birista and crush it with your hands or rough grind it. Set aside the balance fried onions for use later.
  • Take out the Mint leaves & chop both the mint & coriander leaves. Slit the green chillies.

Some tips for better Recipe

  • The meat has to be soft. Which method the chicken must be lesser than one kilo. Then the flavours would be well absorbed.

• The pieces ought to be slightly huge for the Pulao.

• If you soak the Chicken in saltwater for approximately half of an hour before cooking, the meat turns soft.

• If the Chicken is fried on excessive flame, the water will evaporate and the piece could be cooked. So it needs to be fried till it loses its moisture absolutely.

Basmati Rice:
• People generally inquire from me what logo Basmati Rice I use. And I usually solution that I use Rice that is older than 1 year. There are many exact manufacturers in the marketplace. All cited brands have good first-rate Rice.

• Rice will prepare dinner well if it’s far washed very well and soaked for half-hour.

Ingredients

  • To marinate Chicken

  • Whole Garam Masala

  • Grind to make Paste

Instructions

  1. Take a flat, heavy bottom cooking pot & heat 4 tbsps oil. Once hot, add the whole Garam Masala/spices.
  2. Allow it to splutter and then add the ginger-chili paste made earlier.
  3. Fry for 2 mins on low heat & then add the chicken.
  4. Fry the chicken on medium heat for around 5 mins till the chicken is lightly browned.
  5. Add the Coriander & Fennel powder, mix well & fry for 3 mins on medium heat.
  6. Make sure the chicken pieces are coated well with the masala/spices.
  7. Add 1/2 cup mint leaves, roughly torn, mix & fry for a minute.
  8. Lower the flame to a minimum, add the beaten curd/ yogurt and the crushed fried onions. Mix well.
  9. Cook on low flame for around 10 mins, mixing often till the masalas have combined well & it leaves oil.
  10. Now add hot water. For 500 gms basmati rice, you will need to add 900 ml water to the pan.
  11. Give a mix and add salt, garam masala powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves & slit green chilies.
  12. Mix well. Let the water come to a boil.
  13. Add the rice, mix well, cover & cook on a medium flame for around 5 mins.
  14. By this time, most of the water should have dried, so turn it once gently, add most of the fried onions & turn again.
  15. Cover & cook for another 5 mins on low flame.
  16. Add 1 tsp ghee.
  17. Garnish with fried cashew nuts and serve.

Notes

  • Some of the ingredients can be skipped if you have not easily available.
