Vegan Birthday Cake Tips & Tricks

To keep the cake in the fridge or freezer, leave it on the cake board and wrap it in plastic wrap. Your cake will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks. It will keep in the freezer for three months.

If you aren’t preserving your cake in the refrigerator or freezer, put it in a cake keeper in a cold, dry location.

Once the cake has cooled, it should not be reheated. Allow the cake to reach room temperature on its own. The icing will melt and create a mess if the cake is reheated—trust me on this.

Make Use Of A Frosting Smoother

These frosting smoothers are often $10 or less, and they are well worth the money when it comes to icing a cake.

Different Colors Are Used in Vegan Birthday Cake Variations

Mix the gel into the frosting and continue to add an additional a little at a time until you get the desired hue.

What’s the deal with my rubbery vegan cake?

One—you undermixed the ingredients, which caused them to not firm up properly while cooking.

Surprisingly, the temperature of your components when mixing might influence the outcome of your dish.

How should I use the sprinkles?

The sprinkles are simplest to apply by just placing some in your fingers and pressing them up the sides. Yes, the sprinkles will get everywhere, but that’s part of the enjoyment. If you don’t put the sprinkles on immediately after icing the cake (before the frosting hardens), they won’t stay.
